The LaGrange Marshal’s Office is raising funds to purchase a second police dog for the department.

A police dog typically costs $13-to-$15-thousand dollars to purchase, train and maintain.

Marshal Richard Snyder is appealing to individuals and companies for tax-deductible donations to the fund.

Checks should be made payable to the Lagrange Police Department K9 Donation Fund and can be mailed to 1201 North Townline Road in Lagrange. 100% of all donations will directly fund the purchase and training of the dog and its handler.
