The combination of temperatures from just below to just above zero, along with west winds around 10 mph will produce minimum wind chills this morning of 15 to 20 below zero across portions of the area.
Temperatures this afternoon will only rise to around 10 to 15 degrees. Temperatures will drop back in the single digits above zero tonight but winds will begin to strengthen resulting in wind chills back down to the 5 below to 15 below zero range.
Temperatures will moderate for Thursday, but breezy conditions are expected. Another shot of arctic air arrives Thursday night into Friday.
