911 Down Across Swath of Northeast Indiana Friday Night
Monday, February 18, 2019

Emergency 911 calling systems were down for multiple northeast Indiana counties for roughly 1-hour on Friday.

Allen, Wells and DeKalb counties were affected. Reportedly, similar problems were reported in several counties in and around Indianapolis as well. The IN911 network, which handles 911 service across Indiana, say it was a computer glitch that affected call routing services starting at 7:07 p.m. Friday night.

The system is running again, after it was restored just before 8 p.m. Friday night.

About 300 calls were involved in the system's glitch.
