ELKHART COUNTY – A two vehicle collision sent two people to the hospital. The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office says 59 year old Eddie Manges of Goshen was driving west on U.S. 6 near County Road 21 at 6:40 Saturday morning and trying to turn left into a private drive. Manges says he didn't see a second vehicle and pulled into its path and the automobiles collided head on.
The driver of the second vehicle, 47 year old Laura Green of New Paris, had to be removed by rescue personnel. She was flown by Samaritan Med Flight to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne to be treated for a broken leg and a head injury.
A passenger in Green's vehicle was taken to Goshen Hospital complaining of hip pain.
Manges was not injured, but was given a citation for driving left of center.
