WHITE PIGEON – A millage renewal for ambulance service in White Pigeon is the lone item in Tuesday's special election.
Voters will be asked if they want to renew a .35 mills request for ambulance service or turn it down. The millage, which brings in just over $11,000 yearly, was first approved in 2017. Money from the millage goes to Life Care Ambulance, now known as Emergent Health Partners. The money from the millage is White Pigeon's portion paid to Emergent Health Partners, along with 10 other governmental units for their services. The request is for a four year period.
Polls will be open from 7 AM to 8 PM on Tuesday. Absentee voting will be from 7 AM until 3 PM. Voters can cast their ballots at the White Pigeon Township Offices and Fire Department, located east of White Pigeon on U.S. 12.
