
STEUBEN COUNTY - Early Tuesday morning Steuben County arrested 38-year-old Joshua Wicker of Angola for invasion of privacy.
According to police reports, the Steuben County Communications received a telephone call at approximately 1:30 AM from the Angola Police Department, who had received a telephone call from Cameron Hospital, regarding Wicker in the emergency room. Wicker stated that he had been hit in the head with a machete. Wicker had a head injury that appeared to be a laceration to his scalp.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and Angola Police Department determined that the injury occured in the area of 2500 N 200 W in rural Steuben County. The altercation included Joshua Wicker and another subject with an active no contact order issued by the Steuben County Circuit Court. During the investigation it was determined that Wicker was struck in the head with an open folding pocket knife. As a result of the investigation, Wicker was arrested for invasion of privacy.
This case remains under investigation by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and Steuben County Prosecutor's Office. Assisting at the scene were Angola Police Department and Indiana State Police.
