NOBLE COUNTY, IN — Two 20-year-olds died in a crash in Northeast Indiana on Thanksgiving Day.
The accident was reported just before 4 p.m. on County 200 North at County 900 West in Noble County. The Noble County Sheriff’s Office says Riley M. Simpson, age 20 of Milford, and a passenger, Terrence A. Suddon, age 20 Syracuse, died in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection.
The initial investigation revealed Efrain L. Murillo, age 26 of Ligonier, drove his 2013 Ford Explorer into the intersection and was struck by Simpson’s 2010 Dodge Challenger.
The impact caused both vehicles to come to a rest southeast of the intersection.
Simpson and Suddon were pronounced dead at the scene.
Murillo and a passenger, Fernanda Ruvalcaba, 25, Ligonier, were transported to Parkview Regional Hospital for emergency treatment. Their conditions were unknown.
Authorities note that Murillo was unlicensed at the time of the crash. The exact cause of the accident is under investigation.
Assisting at the scene were the Indiana State Police, Ligonier Police, Sparta Township Fire Department, Noble Township Fire Department, Parkview EMS and the Noble County Coroners Office.
