LAGRANGE – Two bids have been presented for work on a LaGrange County bridge.
Monday morning, LaGrange County Highway Engineer Theron Morgan shared the sealed bids with the LaGrange County Commission.
The work is to be done on Bridge #7 which is on County Road 200 South, just west of State Road 5. It has been shut down for several months.
The Commission voted unanimously to take the bids under advisement and make an announcement at their December 18 meeting.
Morgan did say the materials for the bridge will be delivered later this week.
In other Highway Department business, Supervisor Aaron Fugate shared with the Commission the lone bid that came in for truck chassis.
Fugate says the money for the chassis will come out of the 2024 budget and there is money available.
The Commissioners agreed to take the bid under advisement and announce it December 18.
