(KENDALLVILLE) – A teen is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle.
The Kendallville Police say officers received several 911 calls Monday just before 2 PM about a vehicle versus pedestrian accident in the area of U.S. 6 and Orchard Place.
Officers arrived and found a 15 year old boy who had been struck. He was taken to a Fort Wayne Hospital and is listed in critical condition.
Officers say the teen was trying to cross U.S. 6 on foot when he was struck by the eastbound pick up. The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with officers and submitted to a chemical test at a local hospital.
The matter remains under investigation.
