(UNDATED) – Warmer temperatures are forecasted for our listening area next week.

The National Weather Service says starting next week, temperatures will be be in the low to mid 90’s along with being humid. That could bring the heat index levels to around 100.

Forecasters are reminding everyone to limit your time outside during these warm and humid days. If you do have to be outside for work or other activities, remember to take frequent breaks and drink plenty of fluids, especially water and fruit juices.

If you are outside and get over heated, get into the shade or an air conditioned facility to cool down.

If you haven’t done so already, it’s also a good idea to make sure your air conditioner is working.
