(INDIANAPOLIS) - Presley Hampton was crowned the 67th Indiana State Fair Queen on Jan. 4.
Hampton was chosen from a competitive group of contestants and will serve as an ambassador for the Indiana State Fair. She will visit 50 counties across Indiana in June and July, promoting agriculture, youth involvement, and education through the fair.
Hampton is a student at Purdue University, where she is pursuing a marketing degree as a trustee scholar. Officials say she plans to continue her education at the Fashion Institute of Technology, with a goal of building a career in formalwear sales and brand development.
Fair officials praised Hampton's background in agriculture, academics, leadership, and business, calling her a strong representative of the fair's mission and Indiana's future leaders.
Other finalists included Kylie Cox of Tippecanoe County, Addison Buckley of Hancock County, Lexi Wilhoite of Vermillion County, and Gretchen Link of Jay County.
