(NOBLESVILLE) - One of Indiana's most famous native sons is returning to the stage -- and he's bringing his latest tour back home.

Seymour native John Mellencamp will perform July 18 at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville as part of his Dancing Worlds Tour -- The Greatest Hits, a national run that includes 19 cities across the United States.

The tour is billed as a career-spanning show, featuring Mellencamp's biggest hits alongside deeper cuts he has not performed live in decades.

The tour begins July 10 and is expected to highlight songs that helped define Mellencamp's five-decade career, including "Jack and Diane," "Small Town" and "Hurts So Good."

Tickets for the Noblesville show go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 23. A presale for Citi cardholders runs from Jan. 20 through Jan. 22.

The Indiana date marks a return to Ruoff Music Center, which hosted Farm Aid in 2023. Mellencamp is a founding board member of the annual benefit concert and performed alongside artists including Willie Nelson, Neil Young and Dave Matthews.

Mellencamp, 73, is one of Indiana's most celebrated artists. He won a Grammy Award in 1983 for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance for "Hurts So Good" and is a member of both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Indiana has honored Mellencamp with a statue on the Indiana University campus in Bloomington. In late 2024, the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Museum of Art at IU also showcased his work in an exhibition featuring his original paintings.

The Dancing Worlds Tour follows the release of Mellencamp's 25th studio album, Orpheus Descending, and comes after his 2024 "Live and In Person" tour, which included a stop in Muncie.
