(ANGOLA) - Angola residents have a new reason to dig in and go green.
Angola Parks & Recreation is offering free trees to residents living within the Angola city limits as part of a citywide tree giveaway. Supplies are limited, and each eligible household may receive one tree.
Available species include Tulip Poplar, White Oak, and Black Gum, offering residents a mix of fast-growing shade and long-term environmental benefits.
Trees must be reserved in advance. Residents can call the Parks & Recreation office Monday through Thursday, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., to secure their tree. Proof of residency within city limits is required.
Because quantities are limited, residents are encouraged to call early.
