(ANGOLA) - Trine University will host a special NCAA Fan Jam experience Wednesday evening as part of a statewide celebration tied to this year's men's and women's basketball championships in Indianapolis.

The event, organized in partnership with the Indiana Sports Corp, will take place at the MTI Center ahead of Trine's men's basketball game against Albion College.

Fan Jam activities are scheduled from 5 to 7:15 p.m. in Club Z at the MTI Center, located near Trine's Zollner Golf Course.

Tipoff for the men's basketball game is set for 7 p.m.

The interactive event will include a temporary sport court modeled after the one used at the NCAA Final Four, basketball shooting stations, a vertical jump activity for kids, and a rare photo opportunity with the NCAA Division I national championship trophy.

The Fan Jam is part of a broader effort tied to the NCAA championships, with Division I, II, III and NIT title games all being held in Indianapolis this year. Trine is among a limited number of host sites selected to offer community-based fan experiences.

The event coincides with a strong stretch for Trine athletics. Both the men's and women's basketball teams are near the top of the MIAA standings late in the season. The women's team remains undefeated in conference play and is scheduled to play at Albion on Wednesday before returning home Saturday to face Adrian College. Another key home matchup against Calvin is scheduled for next week.

Trine sponsors 39 varsity athletic teams, with multiple programs currently in season, including men's volleyball, track and field, and men's ice hockey, which recently defeated the nation's second-ranked team.

Wednesday's Fan Jam is open to the public and designed as a family-friendly introduction to college basketball, NCAA championship traditions, and Trine's athletic programs.
