(ANGOLA) - A longtime member of the Angola Fire Department has returned to active duty after spending much of last year recovering from a medical event.
Firefighter Jordan Omlor, a 26-year veteran of the department, worked his first full shift back on Feb. 7 after completing extensive physical therapy and required return-to-firefighting evaluations. Omlor was sidelined for the remainder of 2025 following the medical incident.
According to the department, Omlor successfully completed hands-on retraining, including live fire training scenarios, before being cleared to resume full duties.
Department officials said Omlor has returned to his regular role following his recovery.
"Welcome back, Jordan," the department said in a statement.
