(COLDWATER) - Police say there was no active shooter and no immediate threat Monday afternoon at SEKISUI Voltek, despite employees being asked to shelter in place for a time.
Officers responded after a person shared concerns with family members about possible violence at the plant. The family contacted police, who then notified company officials.
Branch County Sheriff's Deputies contacted Pines Behavioral Health Services for assistance.
Police credited the family for taking the situation seriously and alerting authorities.
Officials say the matter was handled without incident and there was no danger to employees.
