(ANGOLA) - Four Republican candidates will take the spotlight Saturday morning as the Steuben County GOP hosts its monthly chairman's breakfast.

The event begins at 8 a.m. at The Heritage Club, 1905 Wohlert St., Angola.

Scheduled to speak:

• Mike Meeks, candidate for Steuben County Sheriff. Meeks currently serves as chief deputy under Sheriff R.J. Robinson and has 27 years with the department. He faces Sheriff's Detective Chris Emerick in the primary.

• Stephanie Hamilton, candidate for Steuben County Prosecutor. The Angola graduate and attorney has 15 years of experience in family and criminal law. She is running against Tracy Quinn and Angela Saalfrank Hendrickson.

• Colt Ridenour, candidate for Steuben County Surveyor. The Angola native and Purdue graduate is challenging incumbent Jim Slabaugh.

• Theresa Steele, candidate for House District 51. Steele is running against incumbent Rep. Tony Isa of Angola.

The breakfast typically lasts about an hour and includes party business and candidate remarks.

Organizers say candidate remarks are independent and do not represent endorsements by the county party.

Reservations are requested by noon Friday through party Vice Chair Molly Weber at 734-255-0565 or molly@steubencountyingop.org. All are invited to attend.
