(ANGOLA) - A new youth-friendly art exhibit featuring colorful monster-themed artwork will open Friday at the Angola Performing Arts Academy Youth Art Gallery.
The exhibit, titled "MONSTERS! MONSTERS EVERYWHERE!", features digital poster artwork created by artist and graphic designer Jeff "Ando" Anderson.
Anderson, originally from Garrett, is known for commercial digital artwork used in national music posters, CDs, concert venues and murals.
The artist says the monsters featured in the exhibit are meant to celebrate creativity and imagination rather than fright.
The exhibit will also include activities where youth visitors can create their own monster artwork to take home or display in the gallery.
Organizers say the show is designed to encourage creativity and inspire young artists in the community.
The exhibit will run through April 26 at the Angola Performing Arts Academy Youth Art Gallery.
The gallery is open Fridays from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 4 to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. and is located at 45 South Public Square in Angola. Admission is free, although donations are welcome and accepted.
