(ANGOLA) -- The Steuben County Health Department says a petroleum spill has been reported at a gas station north of Angola.
According to a public notice issued March 10, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management was notified about the spill on March 5 at Angola Fuel and Mart on North 200 West.
State law requires health departments to alert the public whenever fuel or other regulated substances leak from storage tanks or are spilled during fueling operations.
Officials say the report was filed by the station's owner or operator. No details have been released about how much fuel leaked or whether it affected surrounding areas.
