(ATLANTA) - Students from Trine University have recorded their best team finish ever at the National Collegiate Sports Sales Championship.

The team from Trine's Ketner School of Business placed fifth overall at the national competition held February 24-25 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Individually, Isaac Wilson of Noblesville finished second overall in the Corporate Partnerships competition, tying the best individual finish in school history.

Other strong performances included Josh Hartman of Whitestown, who placed sixth in Ticket Sales, Mason Slazyk of Fort Wright, Kentucky, who finished in the Top 16 in Ticket Sales, and Beckam Pichardo of Sunland Park, New Mexico, who placed in the Top 32 in Corporate Partnerships.

The competition features role-play sales scenarios and brings together top sport management and business students from across the country.

More than 250 students, recruiters and faculty members attended this year's event.

Faculty advisor Zander Atwood said the Trine students' preparation paid off, and several employers took notice. One of the students was even offered a full-time job with an NHL team during the competition
