(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs is opening the application period for its Fiscal Year 2027 Grants for Veterans' Services program, giving nonprofit organizations a chance to secure funding for programs that support veterans and their families.

The grant opportunity is open to Indiana-registered nonprofit organizations that provide services to veterans, family members and caregivers.

State officials say priority will be given to programs focused on homelessness prevention, safe housing, therapeutic services, job training, job search assistance, suicide prevention, and helping veterans connect with federal and state resources.

The solicitation also includes funding opportunities for programs that help veterans move from public housing assistance into home ownership or stable long-term rental housing.

IDVA Director Jake Adams says the program is designed to help nonprofits create meaningful change in the lives of veterans across Indiana.

The department says interested nonprofits should review application requirements and submission deadlines through the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs grants and funding portal.

The agency says the broader goal is to strengthen community-based support systems that improve housing stability, mental health, employment and long-term well-being for Indiana veterans.
