(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles is extending hours at all branches ahead of the upcoming primary election.

BMV locations will be open Monday, May 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, May 5, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Branches will prioritize services related to identification, including new, renewed, amended, or replacement IDs, learner permits, driver's licenses, and CDLs.

State officials say free ID cards are available for voting purposes to eligible Hoosiers who do not have a valid license, provided they bring the required documentation.

Expired Indiana IDs may also be used for voting if they expired after the November 2024 general election.

Regular hours will resume Wednesday, May 6.
