(DEFIANCE COUNTY) - A Defiance man was airlifted after becoming trapped in farm equipment Tuesday morning.
Authorities say 23-year-old Jordan Guyton was working on Flory Road around 10:30 a.m., moving grain toward a floor sump when his leg became caught in a silo sweep auger.
A deputy arriving on scene applied a tourniquet before firefighters and rescue crews were able to free him.
Officials say Guyton's injuries were severe, and he was flown to a Toledo hospital. He was reported to be in stable condition.
