(ANGOLA) - Republican Steuben County Prosecutor candidate Tracy Quinn sent voters a message of thanks after winning Tuesday's primary election.

Quinn defeated Stephanie Hamilton and Angela Hendrickson in the three-way Republican race for prosecutor.

In a statement released after the election, Quinn called Steuben County "home" and said voters had placed their trust in her to help protect the community.

"This is not just a job to me," Quinn said. "Keeping Steuben County safe is a responsibility I have prepared my entire career for, and one I will never take for granted."

Quinn also thanked voters, volunteers, and campaign supporters for helping secure the victory.

Quinn will now advance to the November general election.

Quinn's Full Message:

Steuben County is my home. I was raised here, I built my career here, and I have watched this community grow and change alongside me. Tonight, the people of Steuben County placed their trust in me to protect it, and there are no words for what that means.

This is not just a job to me. Keeping Steuben County safe is a responsibility I have prepared my entire career for, and one I will never take for granted.

To every voter, every volunteer, and every supporter who stood with this campaign: thank you. You made this possible, and I will spend every day in this office making sure you never regret it.

Now it is time to get to work.

See you soon,

Tracy Quinn
