(FORT WAYNE) - A global outage involving the Canvas online learning platform disrupted finals week for students at Indiana University Fort Wayne and colleges across the country.
Canvas is used by students to access coursework, submit assignments, and complete exams online.
The outage created problems Friday for students attempting to finish final exams during the final days of the spring semester. Some instructors and students reportedly considered alternate plans, including printed exams, while the system remained unavailable.
Canvas has since restored service.
It remains unclear what accommodations may be made for students impacted by the outage.
