(ANGOLA) - Artists, musicians, food vendors and creative organizations are invited to participate in the upcoming Arts in the Parks Festival on June 6 at Commons Park in Angola.

The event, presented by the Angola Performing Arts Academy in partnership with Angola Parks and Recreation, will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Festival organizers say the day will feature artist booths, creative demonstrations, artisan food vendors and live entertainment throughout the park.

Scheduled performers include Maleena Felger, Ashlyn Abrey, Sienna Fee, the Hunter Smith Jazz Trio, Betsy Serafin and Bill Eyster, and Hoosier Hill.

Organizers are continuing to accept registrations from artists and vendors while space remains available. Proceeds from the event will support youth programming at the Angola Performing Arts Academy.

The festival is part of a busy arts weekend in Angola. Organizers note Angola Main Street is planning activities surrounding a sculpture unveiling on June 5, creating a weekend focused on arts and culture in the community.
