(ANGOLA) - A full day of music, art, food and family activities is planned this weekend at Commons Park in Angola.
The Angola Performing Arts Academy, in partnership with Angola Parks and Recreation, will host the Arts In The Parks Festival on Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The free community event will feature live music throughout the day, artist booths, creative demonstrations and artisan food vendors.
Festival organizers are also encouraging families to make a day of it by attending Safety Day at the YMCA of Steuben County before heading to Commons Park.
Live performances are scheduled from 9:30 a.m. through 3 p.m., featuring Maleena Felger, Ashlyn Abrey, Sienna Fee, the Hunter Smith Jazz Trio, Betsy Serafin and Bill Eyster, and Hoosier Hill.
In addition to live entertainment, families can enjoy food, activities and opportunities to meet local artists and learn more about their work and creative processes.
Organizers say proceeds from the festival will benefit the nonprofit Angola Performing Arts Academy and Youth Art Gallery, supporting youth performances, arts education and financial literacy through the arts.
The festival will be held at Commons Park in downtown Angola.
