(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Hoosier Lottery has halted sales of its new $5 Space Invaders Cash Invasion scratch-off game because of what it described as a technical issue.

Lottery officials announced the suspension Tuesday but did not provide details about the nature of the problem.

The move follows reports from players who questioned whether winning amounts displayed on tickets matched the prizes identified when the tickets were scanned. One player told FOX59-TV in Indianapolis that he believed his ticket showed a $100,000 prize but was informed during the validation process that the ticket was worth $20.

The Hoosier Lottery has added a notice to the game's webpage advising players who wish to file a complaint or protest regarding a ticket to complete a complaint form or contact the lottery directly.

Players experiencing issues with the Space Invaders Cash Invasion scratch-off game are being asked to call the Hoosier Lottery at 1-800-955-6886 or email Info@HoosierLottery.com.

The Hoosier Lottery said its $5 Space Invaders Fast Play game and the related second-chance promotion remain available.
