(ALLEN COUNTY) - Three men are facing felony charges following a northeast Indiana drug trafficking investigation that authorities say uncovered a large quantity of suspected narcotics.
The Allen County Sheriff's Office reports investigators concluded the case on June 3 after conducting multiple controlled purchases involving 40-year-old Manuel Osvaldo Tejon-Rodriguez, 35-year-old Jose Escalante-Chinchillas and 39-year-old Jesus Gilberto Chavez-Carvajal.
Authorities allege the three were involved with an organization responsible for distributing fentanyl and cocaine throughout the region.
The sheriff's office says the three men were arrested after investigators recovered three kilograms of a suspected cocaine and fentanyl mixture.
Following the arrests, deputies executed a search warrant at a residence in the 4600 block of Stone Harbor Court in New Haven, where investigators recovered three rifles and one handgun.
Tejon-Rodriguez is charged with three counts of dealing in cocaine or a narcotic drug, all Level 2 felonies.
Escalante-Chinchillas is charged with two counts of dealing in cocaine or a narcotic drug, both Level 2 felonies, and one count of conspiracy to commit dealing in cocaine or a narcotic drug, a Level 3 felony.
Chavez-Carvajal is charged with one count of dealing in cocaine or a narcotic drug, a Level 2 felony, and one count of conspiracy to commit a felony, a Level 2 felony.
All three are being held in the Allen County Jail.
