(PLEASANT LAKE) - The Steuben Township Fire Department is asking residents for help funding mosquito fogging operations in the Pleasant Lake area.
Fire officials say the annual mosquito reduction program is funded entirely through community donations. Rising costs for materials and pesticides have forced the department to scale back the amount of fogging it can provide.
The department is seeking donations to continue mosquito control efforts throughout the community.
Anyone interested in contributing can contact the department through its Facebook page or reach out to Devin Wolf or Tyler Yontz to arrange a donation.
Checks can be made payable to the Steuben Township Fire Department with "Fogging Fund" listed in the memo line and mailed to P.O. Box 218, Pleasant Lake, Indiana 46779.
