(ANGOLA) - Local performers will take the stage Saturday evening for the sixth annual Angola's Got Talent competition.
The event begins at 6 p.m. June 20 in the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts at Trine University.
Contestants who live or work in Steuben County will compete in youth and adult divisions for a share of $1,200 in cash prizes. Winners will also earn a featured performance at Music Americana.
A panel of local judges will select the winners.
Angola's Got Talent serves as a fundraiser for Cahoots Community Center, an independent nonprofit organization in downtown Angola. The center provides a space for youth and adults to participate in activities including mentoring, learning opportunities, open mic events, game nights and social gatherings.
Organizers say the center's mission is to provide a safe space where youth can thrive.
