AUBURN (WLKI) - The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival's annual Hoosier Tour made its way through northeast Indiana this week, including a stop in Angola.
Vintage Auburn and Cord automobiles departed Wednesday morning from the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum and traveled to Fort Wayne before continuing to Angola.
Tour participants visited the Indiana Air National Guard's 122nd Fighter Wing near Fort Wayne International Airport, then traveled to Trine University for a campus visit. The group was scheduled to spend the night at Potawatomi Inn at Pokagon State Park.
The tour began Tuesday with a visit to Pleasant Lake, where participants took rides on the restored Nickel Plate Road Number 765 steam locomotive.
The tour is one of several events held during the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival, which brings vehicle owners and automotive enthusiasts to the area.
Participants say the tour offers the opportunity to drive their historic vehicles, visit unique sites and connect with fellow enthusiasts.
The group was expected to return to Auburn for the festival's kickoff luncheon at Willennar Hall, according to The Star.
