(AUBURN) - Two local men, one from Auburn and the other from Angola, are facing felony bribery charges after investigators say they tried to influence a Steuben County criminal case. According to The Star newspaper, Brett Henderson of Auburn and Brett Delancey of Angola were arrested December 9 and each charged with two counts of Level 5 felony bribery. State police say Henderson contacted Debbie Hollabaugh, the mother of Steuben County Deputy Prosecutor Cedric Hollabaugh, and also reached out to the prosecutor's uncle, Jeffrey Kaiser in late September. Investigators allege Henderson offered campaign support, use of a Florida condo, and a zero-turn mower--worth about $10,000--in exchange for Cedric Hollabaugh accepting a plea deal in Delancey's pending perjury case. Court documents say Cedric Hollabaugh immediately reported the contact to Indiana State Police. Debbie Hollabaugh and Jeffrey Kaiser both cooperated with investigators.

Their cases are now pending in DeKalb County courts.
