(FORT WAYNE) - As the holiday season ramps up, Indiana 211 is reminding Hoosiers that help for essential needs is just three digits away.

The statewide service connects residents in all 92 counties with local resources, especially during the winter months when needs can increase. Families can get help finding holiday meals, toy programs, emergency shelter, and assistance with utility bills.

Hoosiers can simply dial 2-1-1 or search online at IN211 dot org to be connected with services in their community.

Indiana 211 also points residents to mental health and crisis resources, reminding the public that the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available around the clock.

Officials say no matter the need, one call can connect people to help close to home.
