(WILLIAMS COUNTY) - Two Steuben County men were injured Thursday morning in a crash involving a semi-truck and a van in northwest Ohio.
The crash happened around eight o'clock on State Route 49 near the Ohio Turnpike. State troopers say a semi traveling westbound on the turnpike exited onto northbound State Route 49 and failed to yield at a stop sign. The semi struck a van that was traveling southbound on State Route 49.
The van's driver, 58-year-old Randy Appleton of Fremont, was seriously injured and taken to a regional hospital. A passenger in the van, 24-year-old Cody Pike of Orland, was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries. The driver and a passenger in the semi were not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
