(ANGOLA) - An Angola woman has been arrested after police say she threatened to kill a Department of Child Services employee.

According to The Herald Republican, 30-year-old Jeishmarie L. Diaz was arrested Thursday at her home on South Superior Street and charged with two counts of Level 6 felony intimidation. Court records show police were called just before four o'clock on November third to assist DCS with the removal of four children from Diaz's home. As a DCS worker read the court order, investigators say Diaz became aggressive, yelling and repeatedly threatening to kill the employee for taking Diaz's children from the home. Police also noted that a handgun had been removed from Diaz's home earlier this year during a felony domestic battery investigation, and that she has since faced probation violations. If convicted, Diaz could face up to two-and-a-half years in prison and a ten-thousand-dollar fine.
