(COLDWATER) - Time is running out to nominate local standouts for the 72nd Annual Community Awards, as the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce reminds residents that the primary nomination deadline is Jan. 18, 2026.
The long-running awards program recognizes individuals, businesses, and organizations that have made a meaningful impact across Branch County during the past year. Community members are encouraged to submit nominations highlighting leadership, service, and dedication.
Award categories include Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, Educator of the Year, and Young Professional of the Year.
To be eligible, nominees must either reside in Branch County or represent a business or organization located within the county. Each nomination must include a completed submission form and a letter of recommendation of up to 750 words outlining the nominee's contributions and accomplishments.
Nominations can be submitted through the Chamber's website, by email, or dropped off in person at the Chamber office.
Honorees will be recognized during the Community Awards Dinner on March 5, 2026, at the Dearth Community Center.
Chamber officials encourage early submissions as the deadline approaches, noting that the awards offer a chance to celebrate the people and organizations that help strengthen the local community.
