It’s been two years since fire took out a quarter block in downtown Lagrange where the Family Dollar store and other businesses once stood.
While the debris was cleaned up, the bill for that clean up has not yet been paid, and a large hole remains.
LaGrange Town Board President Ray Hoover says they’ve done all they can do.
Town Attorney Bill Eberhard doesn’t think a shortfall of insurance coverage is the issue.
For now, a FOR SALE sign remains at the site.
