(ELKHART) – A weekend crash injured two teens.
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened Sunday just after 8 AM on Old U.S. 20, just east of Riverview Manor Drive.
Investigators say a 17 year old boy was speeding east on Old U.S. 20 when he lost control of his vehicle, went off the road and crashed into a large rock in front of a home. The auto then rolled over multiple times and came to rest on its hood.
The driver was flown from the scene and taken to an area hospital to be treated for a minor head injury.
His passenger, a 15 year old boy, was also taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment of minor abrasions.
Police say the driver was not wearing a seatbelt but the passenger was wearing his.
