(ANGOLA) – The Angola Police Department is investigating a body found in a vehicle.

Police Chief Kenneth Whitmire says at 8:22 AM Thursday, Angola officers responded to a call regarding a possibly deceased individual inside a vehicle, parked at the city park trail entrance near Meijer.

Officers arrived and confirmed that a 60 year old man was deceased in the vehicle from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Whitmire says at this time, all names are being withheld until proper notification can be made to family members.
