Michigan's Use of Renewable Energy Up 28%

(MICHIGAN) - Michigan is increasing its use of renewable energy. A report from the Michigan Public Service Commission shows that renewable energy generation grew by 28% between 2023 and 2024. Wind energy makes up the majority of renewable sources at 67%, followed by solar at 18%, biomass at 8%, and hydroelectric water at 5%. By the year 2030, all electric utilities in the state will be required to have a minimum of 50% of their energy come from renewable sources. You can read LINKA here.
